The purpose of the Prime Timers organization is to provide mature gay and bisexual men with opportunities to come together in a supportive atmosphere to enjoy social, educational, and recreational activities.
Prime Timers are older gay or bisexual men, and younger men who socialize with mature men. Our members are men who choose to have their social lives enriched by the diverse activities in which our members engage.
Prime Timers come from all walks of life and involve themselves in their community with volunteerism, gay issues,
Politics, arts, entertainment, and every other aspect of healthy living.
Prime Timers was founded in 1987 by a retired professor who realized a wide gap existed in todays society, which caters almost exclusively to youth. This worship of eternal youth is never more flagrant than in gay culture.
Prime Timers Worldwide has grown to over seventy five (75) chapters located throughout North America, Europe, and Australia with a membership that exceeds 8,000.
